I need to find a passenger side upper bed trim that goes with the racetrack. I have a short bed, but the only piece I really need is the part that goes around the marker light and down to the j trim. Any idea where to get one?
I do not think alot of vendors repop that part by itself. Most of the time you have to get the complete "dent" trim piece to get the end. And yes it does come off of the long bed or short bed "dent" piece. I have sold a few of them from my parts trucks. Sorry I currently do not have any on hand, so good luck. Maybe Ebay?
Red 75 Bronco,
If you're not in a hurry for your part, reach out to me Spring 2027.
My current project, 79 F-100 SWB is undergoing a Coyote swap, hoping to finish it mid-June this year in time for the F-100 Western Nationals truck show (not expecting to win, just participate). From now until Spring 2027 I need time to recover before moving onto body and paint. Will eliminate the race track trim that currently on the truck and go back with only centerline Dentside trim.
I am just finishing up my Godzilla swap. I am open to buying the whole piece, but can’t find it except in a pair set from Dennis carpenter. It says economy, anyone know the difference? Can I get just the left side for a short box, can’t seem to find it. Also, Dennis carpenter sells the lower oh race track for $154, but shipping is $199!
Your 78 or 79 look fantastic.
Quick question and if you don't mind, let me know the brake master cylinder manufacture and Part Number. Eventually, post engine swap I want to install the translucent brake master cylinder in my 79 F100, like I previously installed in my 77 F150. Plan on painting my 79 F100 Colonial white with the lower quarter panel copper; always liked the Eddie Baurer paint scheme. Modern Ford OEM Brake Master Cylinder swapped in a 1977 Ford F-150.
Red 75 Bronco,
Thanks for the Brake Booster information.
When I swapped the brake master cylinder in my 77 F150, FTE member "Ultra Ranger" provided some good insight that I heeded. Though I'm assuming your 78 or 79 Dentside is a F150, can't tell for sure from your photo of it. Anyway, information from Ultra Ranger forewarned me about retaining the same master cylinder piston size from my 77 F150 which is 15/16", not 1" and for me to check older Mustangs, Mercury Sables and Ford Tarus because they all had 15/16" piston rod sized master cylinders. Moreover, he warned that if I did go up to a 1" brake master cylinder piston, the larger size piston would make the brakes super sensitive. So I took his advice and sourced the master cylinder from my local junk yard out of a 93 V6 Mustang. Brakes on my 77 F150 work perfect, not overly sensitive at all.
When I changed the master cylinder I also installed a new brake booster rubber boot that goes through the firewall, sourced from ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Ply-Barracu...0AAOSwsThbPN3H
Thought I'd provide the boot link in case you or anyone else is interested replacing there's. When I removed the original boot, it was dry, brittle and crumbled with just touching it.
I have been running al larger master cylinder bore on my 1975 bronco for 20 years with a hydro boost. I would call it sensitive, but it will stop 35s when needed. I will be test driving over the next few months.

I removed all my race track and in dent wide moulding, then we put new fenders, bed sides, doors on and I decided to not drill holes and use the trim. Speaking of the turn downs, I had thought of using straight ends there, even swapped them on the trim, so might have those turn downs out in my shed, but it is original 1977 stuff. I'll have to look if you are interested in 50 year old stuff. Mine is a long bed but that end piece is same on all I think. If I have them, you can have them as I'll never use them again.
You can PM me.
I would take the 50 year old stuff. Way better than the taiwan crap DC sent. We did get the old one straightened out, but I have another one I am working on. I will PM you.

I tried to PM but it said your box is full? I looked again yesterday after we got home, still no find .... I can't believe I threw them away, feel like they are hanging on a nail or wire hook, so I will keep an eye open for them.
