Putting in new radio. Dashboard is apart. The first picture was hooked up to my OEM radio. Yellow=power, blue/red stripe=radio illumination. The other two were unused. The orange one with female end is key-on powered. The blue with red stripe is powered when the light switch is pulled. Thanks so much! This is power and illumination to factory radio. This one is powered key on but was unused. This one is blue with red stripe just like radio illumination. It was unused. I'm thinking maybe underdash lighting option?
1st plug. I believe that is a general 12v power for accessories.
2nd plug. I believe that is for the fuel system. My guess is you only have one gas tank? It could be power for the fuel tank selector in dual tank rigss? My experience with my 77 is orange is typically fuel
3rd plug. I believe you might be right that blue w red trace is for illumination. I think that plug is for ashtray illumination. If you're not worried about having a light in the ashtray, you could use it however you want.
Thanks so much! It's a '77 F100 Custom, so no dual tanks. Could I use 2nd one with the orange wire for a key-on source? I think I'll keep the other one open in case I add courtesy lights. Thanks again!
