windshield wipers

Hey, I'm having a problem with my f-150 1993 - the wipers will not work in the intermittent mode - but sometimes the wipers will go 3 times and back down again - and sometimes they work just fine when the heat is on, but only when it is on the floor - - so normally I just pull the fuse on nice days and leave it out till it rains - o yes the washer does not work either- except when I first start the truck - Any Ideas?

There is a wiper module on the passenger side of the vehicle that controls this. Check your grounds and do you have tilt steering. Repeated tilt use can cause broken wires in this system. Let us know.
