1989 F250 7.3 IDI in Suffolk Virginia. Looking for a repair facility that knows the International 7.3 idi diesel. Any and all replies appreciated Thank you in advance.

 

You'll want to look around for a shop owned by an old timer. Diesel "technicians" will look at this old school engine with a deer in the headlight stare.

 

Probably ought to do some of it yourself
All of us Ford boys were trained up on those 6.9's and 7.3's (all of us who wanted to be trained is more like it)
I'd hit the dealer or find an old retired Ford diesel tech
I am a master tech who will not touch one for a few reasons
Main reason I have stated for 40 years is
"You get some of that diesel on you and you won't get laid for a week"
For that reason alone, I don't mess with them for drivability problems
Find yourself a Ford diesel supplement book or new model data from around 88 or so
