DASH PAD

Need to replace Dash Pad in my 79 F100 with Parchment colored one. See a few different vendors have them, so figured I'd ask on the FTE denside forum for suggestions. Need an entire dash pad, the truck was without one when I purchased it. Thanks for your time.

You may want to get a quote at a local upholstery shop. Mine was green and the color isn't reproduced and though I don't recall what the cost was at the time it was marginally less than buying a reporduced one. It's held up well in the 10 years since it's been done.

Viper Pilot,
Thanks for weighing in, just what I'm wanting to hear from guys that purchased an after-market dash pad.

FL 79F100,
Sound advice having an existing dash pad re-upholstered; that's my problem purchased the 79 F100 without a Dash Pad.

I bought a black molded over dash cover, it came with silicone adhesive to use but it fit so well, it just like "snapped" in place, covered all of the padded portion of my OEM dark red one that had many cracks. It does not cover the metal like where defroster outlets or that speaker is ... and I never did glue it nor will I. Was about $150 as I recall over the counter at AutoKrafters up the road. Then I put a carpet like black overlay that covered from windshield to rear edge so well that I didn't bother with the Velcro. Of course, to use them, you still need a base dash pad, but even if cracked it'll not be seen.

I favor black on my dashes as they do not reflect in the windshield.

The carpet like cover just comes to the edge, it turns down on the ends to tuck between dash & cab metal, didn't have a great picture of it.

Here's the one that was on my truck when I bought it.

I bought this replacement off eBay for $114. Every where else I looked wanted $400+ for a new one.

It didn't fit perfectly so I notified the seller and he to me to request return and he would refund my money and didn't need to return it.
Its still in my truck. Considering I got it for free I just left it on there.
I never notice that it doesn't fit perfectly but my truck is far from being perfect so it worked perfectly for me.
