Spare tire bracket
Hello all.
i am using 30x9.5 BFGs on my 68 f100. Has anyone mounted tires of this size or greater in the stock spare tire bracket (with extended hanging bolts since the stock bracket is too small for 9.5 inch wide tires)?
Would using the existing bracket with longer hanging bolts to accommodate the wider tire cause the tire to hang too low and create issues with ground clearance?

Probably not as it would only be a couple of inches. 2 or 4wd? Original tires were 8.15 x15 or G78-15's to 72. You will have to lengthen the center sheet metal bar to accommodate the wider tire.
