Good day all, working a 78 F150 w/AC and came across this hole (at end of screwdriver) that I need some help with. Does anything OE get installed here or is this PO mod? My teardown pics show nothing at this location except a bunch of red clay.

My non-AC truck doesn’t have that hole. Maybe someone drilled a hole for a manual choke cable? I know the choke would be on the other side, but that hole would be inline if they put it next to the steering column.
Thanks Hertz. I found this picture online which shows a weldnut there, unsure of year tho. Possibly a popular aftermarket mod, like some JC Whitney product?
Looks to me like the hole I once drilled bigger to run my manual choke cable through, and my temperature gauge sender copper tube, and the plastic oil pressure tube too. Mine has a grommet.
