It's a diesel, it's what they do.

I guess whatever they thought would address the upper oil pan leak didn't get the memo down in Chihuahua.

I'd be upset too. Doubt it's the upper oil pain already... not to mention that's not really an issue anymore on 2020+. May be a simple issue.

my old blue 2026 f450 had a big valve cover leak at 5k miles when I traded it. Probably the valve cover.

New vehicles are 30,000-40,000 untested parts assembled as quickly as they can , its why you get a warranty. A safer bet would be a used vehicle after any defects are worked out. Its not about brand , price or volume . You will get mistakes in design from time to time but even if the part is designed well, made well and assembled well you can still have a failure from time to time.

If its a front or rear seal, id give it some time, to let it seal up.

I had a 2002 7.3 for 10 years that never leaked, except for that one time.

It seems to me most of the complaints lately have been on the HO motors. I've had three of them now and no complaints. My latest truck has SO. Couldn't be happier.

To me the HO just isn't worth the extra $3,000.
