Intermittent CEL

Was idling yesterday to warm the truck up, no CEL put my foot on it to keep 1000rpms to warm up, the CEL came on and rpms increased by about 300. Is this perhaps a bad ICP symptom?

Can pull the electrical connector off of it and see if it runs better. If it does the ICP is suspect.

It doesn’t run badly is the thing. I also had to go pull my kid out of a snow bank last night and ran the truck for an hour, sometimes hard during extraction and the CEL never lit. I’ll pull the connector later and look for oil or a change in performance.

*EDIT* ‘Twas VERY oily, cleaned connections with electrical parts cleaner and ordered up an Motorcraft replacement.
