Just bought a new 2022 F250 Crew Cab XLT with the 6.7L Power-stroke w/ 10 speed trani and need to replace the whole cab. Does anyone know if the cab off a 2017 F-350 6.2L Gas Crew Cab XL will fit onto my F-250?
2017 was first year for the aluminum cab on Super Duty, and should be the same basic cab as a 2022.
But, I can imagine there may be different holes for various changes over the years for pass throughs and such, and then, of course, there are likely to be different holes between a gas engine cab and a diesel.
I am pretty sure it could be done, but may not be a direct fall on swap without some extra work making it all match up.
Same Doors and Doors and DOP - door opening panel RH/LH. Agreed access holes in firewall may have differences. Amazing how much the builds change throughout a MY of production from Job One to last build date. So many running changes with release engineers and suppliers on site at the plants addressing change/concerns.

The '17-'19 cabs match up very well gas or diesel. The '20-'22 cabs match up well gas or diesel. I've heard that F150 cabs were the same. When you get to the firewall forward then things are different.
I agree, with some effort it's possible, but keep in mind the VIN will be alerted and that can get you 5 years in some states as well as the vehicle impounded.
