Shocks

Im guessing this question will go in here, if I am in the wrong forum, I apologize. I have a 2002 Ford F150 4X4 with the 4.6 V8. I am looking into putting a nice set of aftermarket shocks to help improve drivability on and off road. I have been looking into a few brands but I wanted to see what you guys recommend for a vehicle that is used on/off road. Currently, I am looking into gettin the Rancho 9000X shocks.

Also, when I look at these shocks, like for instance, the Edelbrock Extreme Travel Shocks, for the info about this product says "4.5 " lift", is this for vehicles with a 4.5 " lift kit ?

the 9000x shock would be perfict for what you want to do. you can ajust for on and off-road. the extreme travel won't do any good for your truck unless you want to lift it for off-road. other wise you have no need for long travel shocks on a stock suspention.

R9000'sare good, but pricey. I like Doestch Tech shocks. I run their 8000 series. Good price and havent had a problem with them.
