I had to finally park my '67 F-100. It was a daily driver up untill a couple of days ago. I'm hoping to find a new intake and an exhaust manifold for it by the spring. Even when it runs again it probably won't leave the farm anymore.
So I went out and bought myself a used 1998 Ranger and I have to admit it's a lot easier to drive. Of course power steering, brakes and heat are nice to have, but I miss my rusty old truck.
"SCRAPING RUST AND CHASING WIRES IS NOT MUCH OF A HOBBY"
lol thats funny actually it kinda is a hobby sometimes it isnt much fun but when you dont do it for awhile you miss it...also hope the truck thing works out for you and of course you would miss the old brute after driving a new truck i do when i drive somthing newer....
I have a 96 F-150 S/C, loaded and a 97 F-250 PSD. Except for the lack of a/c, I would rather drive my 68 F-250 with power nothing. And I sorely miss my 72 F-250, 300-6 that I leave in Alaska now. She is rusted and forlorn, did me right for 15 years and is still the best truck I ever owned. Just like a good woman or a good dog, not many come your way in a lifetime to compare.
