Thinking about installing 2" wheel spacers so my 35" tires won't rub on the leaf springs.
Does anyone know if 2" spacers will cause accelerated wear on ball joints, ect.? Theoretically it makes sense that it would but how much really. Is it a legit concern?
It will put more stress on the hubs/ ball joints (shortening their service life) and make scrub radius worse than ideal. I've never cared but that's me
Other than that...a high quality steel from Fred Goeske wheel adapter or arrowcraft would be fine. aluminum isn't trusted but I Imagine billet aluminum would be as strong as the wheel.
I've never run spacers on the front though besides the factory spacers on a dually. I just like wheels with a little dish like we've been used to for a very long time. I hate the look of wheels on newer cars/ trucks but that's just personal opinion
I have ran them for years with the newer ford offset wheels and have had zero issues. Just make sure you buy the expensive hub centric spacers. Bora I believe are the ones I have purchased in the past.
