Fuel Quality Issue
My question to the group is how do I make sure the fuel I am pumping is Top Tier if it’s not marked on the pump?
Are there stations and or fuel brands that I could trust?
I have been purchasing diesel fuel all over Washington for my trucks since 1988, this is the first total equipment failure I’ve ever experienced.
I am now driving a new 2026 F-350 SD 6.7HO and do not want to subject this new rig to poor fuel quality.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Thom
Does anyone have knowledge of diesel fuel brands that beat the minimum fuel standards?
Stay in touch, if you haven't joined the Washington chapter yet there is a link in signature. And stop by the BS thread if you get a chance.
I don't know. I drive a 2012 F350 6.7L When traveling Cenex and Pacific Pride are always good choices in my mind. If I see a fuel truck delivering fuel to the station I move on to another station. Water always settles to the bottom and if they are delivering fuel it seems to me it is going to get stirred up. If I'm traveling and there is no Pacific Pride I try find a busy station that I see other diesel truck filling up.
I've been lucky and never picked up any water. I always drain my fuel filter before a long road trip and sometimes like when I drove back to Iowa, I even checked it for water when I was there before the return trip home.
