the noise doesnt appear to be from the engine shaking at all, looks solid that way. do you have any mods done to your truck? can you also confirm what your exhaust system is like, factory , are the hangers all hanging straight down or pushed forward/back , heat shields strapped down etc

i did put new exhaust manifolds in since the old ones had cracked, what are the hangers? there is a heat shield in between the upper and lower manifolds but its preety snug.—- no mods either everything is stock or aftermarket

Did your new manifolds properly seal at the y pipe? And the hangers are the isolator things that hold the exahust . look down strream the manifolds at the y pipe, cats, muffler, tailpipe

I totally forgot mb but i did muffler delete it idk how i forgot lol. but that is sealed and the only place that might have a hole is the tube coming from the smog pump to the rear cat was rusted out so i taped it and it was no problem. Ill go take a look at these hanger things and then get back to you. So from what im hearing you say is that its exhaust related? And would leaving it mess with the truck or is it just a sound that i can tolerate?

THe tube to the secondary air injection NEEDS to be sealed or you will have fueling issues and exhaust leak
and show me the area the muffler used to be in, picture wise
Be aware an inline 6 without a muffler will be somewhat closer to a tractor sound than youd probably want

dude the tractor sound is what i want lol like an old ford. I know its backyard as hell but i tryed my best lol. ill try to get that tube fixed soon.
So…. Let’s get the muffler delete sorted out first then see what kind of sounds you still hear. Any muffler shop should be able to sort that out for you without much cost.
what is that flex pipe looking stuff?
Also, what is that white stuff on the right side of photo? Is the ends welded at all to the stock pipe?
I am pretty sure we are just dealing with exuast leaks at this point
hahaha lol im pretty sure it’s literally called “flex pipe” my welder is 220 so i don’t have a plug in to reach where the truck is located so i couldnt weld those joints, so were you see the clamps is where i couldn’t get the welder. the white is an exhaust sealer that i put on at the same time. And it ended up just falling off but stayed in the area in between the pipes. i had no clue what i was doing lol. The original muffler had a low side and a high sides so the flex pipe helped get it aligned. If it is just exhaust leaks making the noise then thanks for the knowledge i had no clue when it came to the exhaust system. I’ll figure out how to weld those joints that aren’t, and the tube going to the cat.

if you want to keep it a clamped setup, get a pipe made that mimics the center 3 pipes (flex, two solid pieces) then use Band clamps (I can help you find if needed,j ust give me the diameter of the original pipes) and then clamp it in with those and a bit of the exhaust copper spray

ill weld it up i barrow a small welder from a buddy. the only reason its not welded is cus i have a welder that has a 220 plug and i couldn’t weld those joints

create a solid pipe for the flex portion, your exhaust is intended to move as one piece on all the hangers, now it will break the flex with time because the tail pipe is moving around separate
