Hi there fellas. Warmer indeed. Although it’s only February, it makes me start thinking about getting the Chap ready for the lake.

I saw in one of the state parks there were taps on some Maples. Not sure I ever saw that before in south central pennsyltucky.

Tasty taco Tuesday Maryland, Craig, Steve, T-Bon, Shaun and all the crew. reporting. Yesterday was a nice day and today is sunny and headed to about 65°. Most of the week will be like this, but then the wakeup call next week with back to Winter weather.

Not many around my woods tap maples but in the panhandles of WV, they do.

Have a joyous and Blessed day everyone.

Evening Chuck, Craig and Rod. There is a sugar bush across the road from my house, about a forty-acre stand of all Maple. All on a side hill to the lower road below. The guys take it serious around here.

A guy I work with is from Vermont. They have like a Maple Syrup police bureau and laws regulating it up there. Different grades, all tested. They require it to be a certain purity to be called Maple syrup. Not sure if NY is the same, but they take it very seriously in Vermont. I thought it was pretty funny, but a lot can be said for protecting an industry from cheap knock offs.

Happy Hump Day Maryland, Craig, Seve, T-Bon, Chuck and all the crew reporting. Another nice day in my woods but overcast and headed to 63° with maybe some rain.

Chuck, here to my knowledge there is no regulations on maple syrup beyond the normal health codes to sell it.

Have a joyous and Blessed day.

Evening Chuck, Craig and Rod. Sugar is a pretty serious business with vacuum pumps and reverse osmosis.

Glad to see you guys are still knocking on the door. Me, I been playing with wires in a vault. I had 2 circuits trip at work which took out three poles. These are 85’ high poles so they lay down a lot of light. We tried today to jerk the wires out as the megger see them shorted to ground. One of the brainiac contractors years ago must have buried a quasite box below grade. Those 4 gauge wires wouldn’t move. Going to have to trench a new run from a closer point than the existing 750’ run. Until then I rented a few light plants and set those up.
Never a dull moment. Grrrrrrr.
