A few familiar usernames. Quite a few new ones. It’s a long time since I’ve been here. The current stable includes a 1955 Ford F-350 1 Ton Express (which has been posted on before). My dad bought it from the original owners when I was not even a year old. I also have recently acquired a 1955 F-800 dump truck. It seems that I just can’t stay away from the Big Jobs. I also have a 2000 F-250 Super Duty, but it’s currently completely disassembled and being fitted with a 460 based 521 Stroker (undecided if I’m going to run Kaase P51 heads or Kaase Boss Nine heads), and a 5 speed manual transmission.
Welcome back, Joe. Good to see you here again. I must admit, you've peaked my interest with your Kaase 521 in a 2000 F250. What's your plans for such a hipo engine in an old work truck? Are you custom fitting it, or is there an install kit for such a monster?

It’s been a while. So, no kits. This one is all fabrication required. I was running a 302 based 331 in it, and it was definitely fun at right at 500 horses, but I needed bigger. The 460 block tends to risk pulling the sides out at the motor mounts with too much torque, so I’m boxing in the front frame and will be running motor plates. Holley Terminator X EFI, MSD crank trigger and coil near plug ignition, big roller cam, etc. I’m shooting for around 800 horses N/A. I’m also working on the correct restoration of the 55 F-350. I have the engine almost done, and I tracked down a donor 53 Express that’s parted out with a decent bed. It may have enough parts to help spruce up the Big Job as well.
I remember when I first came around here, seeing your Avatar picture was the COOLEST avatar pic ever by a long shot. Always remembered you because of it.
I'm very glad to not only see you back, but apparently you're very active in enjoying ole trucks! You should post some pics of the F800
