Looking at a set of wheels and tires for my 2003 Excursion 2WD, will 265/60/20s fit? Or is a 275/50/20 ok? Not sure how wide we can go?
Will a set of Vision Spider wheels fit ok, and are strong enough especially towing? Im looking at 20x9 with a +12 offset, and a backspace of 5.47. Is that correct?
I know how to find tire size and see that they are the same width as factory, but is the height ok? Not sure whats to high for these trucks. Thank you
The 265/75R/16 is the stock on the trucks for that year series, other than the rim, you are close to the same size with 265/60R/20.
Going with the 275/50R/20 option you will loose some of the economy as it is a bit shorter and wider, the wider adds rolling resistance... Enough to for most to notice, maybe not. You will gain a bit of low end out of the hole performance as well. Your RPM's will go up in cruise.
I run a 275/70/18 on stock 2004 18x9 wheels on the wife's 2wd Excursion and there's plenty of clearance. These tires are .7" taller and .4" wider than the 265/60/20 you're looking at. The key will be in the wheels offset, and I'm not sure what stock is. I like the wheel/tire setup on it as it fills up more of the fender well.
^^^ I agree with bwguradian , I also run 275-70/18 on 04 HD rims on my 03 4x4 with no clearance problems and they fill the well better. You should have no problems.

Can I see a picture of the rims you have? Just curious. Ill assume for a 2004 F250/350 Harley Davidson edition 18" wheel?

There's those, the King Ranch, and Lariat editions...there's another Ford SVO?, but the chances of finding those are rare. However, they're all going to be 18"x9" factory offset wheels. I have the King Ranch editions on the wife's Excursion and the Lariat editions on my F350...
Ive been looking at these rims, thinking of going with them with 285/60/18 LT tires, which would be 20mm wider than stock, and circumference is .6" smaller, so speedo would be .4 MPH off at 60 MPH
Whoever is was sold those XD wheels, looking at these now... 2017 King Ranch wheels. 20" with stock Cooper tires that are 275/65/20 I think? Our stocks have a 12mm offset and those are 40mm offset. The guy had them on a 2007 F250 and said they didnt rub.
