Hey guys, Iam wondering what the problem could be with my clutch. If I don't pump it a few times to build up pressure, it releases really close to the floor and makes it hard to shift because it doesn't dissengage when shifting until it's almost near the floor, so shifts are really slow, I feel like a grandpa driving it!!
It's a 2000 4x4 Ranger SuperCab...I had my backyard mechanic bleed the system and he said it looked fine, but obviously it's not. What could it be? Or should I just take it in and pay for them to tell me a bunch of bs?
Mine is in the dealership as we speak. It is a difficult thing to bleed because the master cyl is angled upwards.
If you value your free time, take it in. If it's only air they will charge you 1 hour. You will have peace of mind for Christmas vacation. Thanks.
Whatever the date on my first post is, it is now the 11th. My Ranger is still in the dealership, and I'm to call them tomorrow. Good thing I have another nice vehicle to drive. As long as there's no snow.
