Looking for Carlene
I called corbett wildlife and they said it was hunting season and no 4X4's were allowed. I dont know if they were telling the truth or not. I know it is Huntin Season....
Do you know of any places, even South like Dade?
Thanx in advance,
Jo
It's definately still hunting season. Some friends of ours still have their camps set up out there and one pulled in an 8 point buck last weekend. I believe they have to have all their camp sites cleaned out by the end of X-mas weekend, but I'm not sure if that's the end of season or not.
As for anywhere else to ride, I'm not familiar with Dade or Broward, but there is "NO" place to ride in Palm Beach county. The cops even have 4x4's out in the acreage area to assist in ticketing and chasing people out.
Sorry I didn't have better news for you.
Have you personally done any wheeling there, at Corbett? If so, How are the trails and when do you believe it will be open?
I have a few friends with Bronco's that I am sure would like to make a 4X4 run, once its open and safe.

Hunters -->
<--4x4's = No GOODThanx again,
Jo
As for riding in the Corbit, I really don't know. The only riding we do anymore is with the 4-wheelers (a/k/a ATV's) up in the Ocala Nat'l Forest. We gave up looking for anywhere to ride around here years ago.
They're even making changes to riding up there in the forest. No more night riding and they are trying to put a law in to make it to where you can only have one rider per ATV. That really blows.
An 8 point buck down there in Dade? Wow! I remember most of the deer down there to be about the size of a german shepard.
Carlene, whenever I go upto my Dr. in Vero Beach {once a month}, I see how much and how fast they are taking the land for housing and warehouse, etc.
If I would play the Lotto and win, I would buy 30 or 40 Acres of swamp land, And that way everyone can come and play for freee!!!
