Hello,
new to the FTE ( long time reader - no writer ) .
First i have to say Thank You to all members - got a lot of info for my trucks/cars over the last 20+ years . Every time i want to know something ( engine-tranny-susp-steering-&&& ) i found it here...
Since 2000 i wanted an Excursion . It's very difficult to get one in Austria which is already ... let's call it streetlegal....- law is not on our side . to big/to heavy..blablabla.
In Nov.2024 i found one for sale- 500mile trip, and "YES": 03 Limited V10 in Black under 90k miles.
After smiling for 500 miles - i put her on the lift and made a inventory. little rust on the doors & wheel wells.
All from underbody was dismantled - dry ice blasted - primed - painted & spray sealed all ( underbody ). Manifold bolts new (pita) - custom made stainless steel exhaust from Remus performance exhaust ( stock cat ) , all lines,pipes,hoses,brakes,&&& new.
Now at the body-shop for a new dress - black with AZ-beige cladding - (yes i know but for me black only is boring ).
After new paint and assembly ... it's suspension-time.. ( head hurts allready from reading all threads, but still no decision, except for 315/75/16 )

... rear axle hubs..sounds funny... front or rear wheel burnouts....but yes, at a 2nd loock - haven't never noticed it.
sorry for the delay on pic's, but have alot to do at work "before" x-mas...i'll try..
