1990 f150 lift

I’ve got a 1990 4x4 that’s gonna be a frame off resto built to look like it was built in the 90s custom graphic paint and all. I’d like to put a 8 inch lift under it and run 37s or 40” big ol balloon tires on a 15 or 16” rim. Does anyone have any experience with an 8” lift on one of these trucks it’s a single cab short bed. Is there anything I should be concerned about should I solid axle swap it? Truck won’t be used to really off-road or any thing to crazy more or less will be a show truck. Or do you guys think it’ll look weird being that high while being a single cab short bed. Any input is appreciated and welcomed

8" off the shelf is going to be hard to find, most common amount is 6". Isn't that a TTB front axle? Then yea solid axel swap is a good idea.

Atlas Suspention has rear spring options. https://www.atlassuspension.com/1980...e-Rear-Springs

That is alot of lift for a 1/2 ton SB, probably going to have to relocate the rear axle leaf springs pads to get a better pinion angle. I do not think pinion shims will be enough. Probably a new rear drive shaft and alot of other little items to think about. Ebrake cables, brake lines ect...

$$ for the front. https://desolatemotorsports.com/prod...C61wlS3XBjfa8E

with 8 inches of lift, i would think both driveshaft will need to be lengthened, plus front and rear soft brake lines.
