Relocating Oil Filter on PSD

Clarifying
You are correct in that it is a straight shot to the oil filter. My major complaint is all the oil that is behind the filter. Would like to have some way to shut off the oil that is behind the filter until it is completely off, and then drain the rest. Must be spoiled on too many race cars that were designed to be worked on I guess.

Unicos, I understand what you're saying about trying to improve the filter location. It really ain't all that bad, but it could be better. I, too, just punch a hole in the bottom of the filter before removing it to drain out the oil. Dude, just be glad you don't own a Windstar van, or at least a '96 like the one I had. Now THAT was a PITA! Nothing like having oil run down your arm, down inside your shirt sleeve, and into your armpit....not to mention having oil drain onto the top of the cross-member and then down onto the floor in 5 or 6 different places.........
