Hey! Dropping in to start a few questions I have as I acquired a rare “Little fella” I have on my hands a 2000 Limited Excursion with a 6.8 V10 4x4 from down south! Running into a few issues here and there so I’ll be spending a little time digging through some things but I’m excited to see what this trucks got in store for me!
Just got done tearing the transmission apart to find a broken spring in the valve body, replaced that, still didn’t have 2nd. Tore it apart again and found a small shard made its way into the intermediate valve bore.
all that’s left is some clean up,gotta dig into the front wheel hubs (it’s got air lockers) so I want to see what those would take to get functioning. A new steering box, exhaust manifold bolts (yup broken, gonna grab the welder and some nuts and washers and spend a weekend.)
New in the past 1000miles the entire tie rod assemblies to the pitman. all new steel lines ran for the tank, all new calipers. New starter. Solenoids pack, upper and lower valve bodies, accumulator. Coolant flush, oil.
