Way back when if one wanted to increase spring rate you just went to any spring shop and added the appropriate leaves for what you were doing. In our case-F-250 farm trucks. They road like a rock empty, but didn’t sag with a load of hay, grain or livestock. Today? I have a constant load of 2,200 lbs with a 4WC pop up bolted to an aluminum flatbed. Carli can increase the constant load by 2,000 lbs. The cost? Over 3k, which is nuts. Deaver builds the spring sets for Carli using stock 250 or 350 springs, then adds leaves. Deaver is in metro LA, yuck! Where are any old school spring shops that can do this? What leaves ( # number and brand ) and how many leaves?
A competent spring shop can get you anything you want, likely without adding leaves to the pack.
My suggestion would be to go to whoever builds the spring packs for your local DOT - they might be a drive away, but they can do the work. When I broke a spring on my '99 F250 (truck wasn't even loaded when it happened), they were able to build me a brand new set of springs, installed, for $150/side. Now, this was 15 years ago, so I'm sure prices have gone up - but those spring shops are still in business somewhere.
I watch a lot of off-road recovery videos. Moab Motorsports (Rory Irish...TrailMater) and a hew others speak quite favorably of a shop in Grand Junction, CO. I'm pretty sure that it Alcan.
I have a set of springs out of a 2004 F250 that I plan on robbing a leaf out of and putting in my ‘24. The sag is ridiculous Ford!
We used to have an awesome spring and suspension shop here in town, but they closed up years ago. I used to get them to make me all my U-bolts and top plates for my projects.
