I have a 2024 F350 SD 4WD with the Godzilla and 10R140 auto. I need a tuner that can disable the gear lockout in Low. I would like to be able to use the 8,9, and 10 gear
in transfercase Low. Has anyone a solution to this ?
Would you like a quote for a transfer case replacement now? Or later? Going to need a driveshaft too. And hopefully Ford didnt run the main wiring harness next to the transmission like Ram does. $12,000 repair bill on that Ram, for doing what youre thinking of.
Switch back to 4hi.

I'm with you
Stretching my head. Trying to figure out why somebody would want to try that?
I got the 3.73 diff ratio. In Low (2.71) doing 55 miles I have motor in 7 gear doing rev. 5.630, but would have 3.560 rev. in 10 gear if that was available.
You can only put so much into the low range of the transfer case.
Consider portal axles, geared right, instead. Itll cost the same in the long run.
I have been using Unimog Portal's axles in two F350 2007 and 2015 with .NP273 1: 2.71 Powerstroke tuned , putting all the power through them in overdrive gears. 54-inch tires . No problems for almost 20 years.
So I know a little bit about this.
I understand completely why anyone would want to be able to manually control low range gears at least up to 5th or 6th gear. 5th or 6th in L I don’t remember which, is equal to 1st gear H. I’ve run 4x4s most of my life. When on desert roads or any other back country non-maintained road, which can become very technical very quickly, I’d be in L most of the time, thru the entire gear range, 1-4 then in later years 1-5, It’d be of great benefit to be able to do that with my 350. For those that think the Borge Warner chain driven T case would blow up, I’d like you to explain just how that would happen.

how? What do you mean you can only put so much into the low range of the T case? Torque? I’ve been running BW transfer cases for 40 years, never ever blew one up because I liked to run in low range in 4th or 5th gear. Same with Toyota TCs. You really gotta be hammering on them to damage them. I mean really hammering. Abusive comes to mind, as in desert racing or truck pulling contests. , as in more than 5/6thousand RMPs, but that would damage a TCase no matter what gear you put it in.

Ford designed the ESOF to switch out of 4Lo above 62mph ot 100 km/h, at least in the prior gen SDs, not sure what the limit is now, but if OP is running 55mph or 88 km/h, it's well below Ford's design limit. Plus if he is running it in cold conditions, what we consider "extreme condition" for the xfer case in CONUS doesn't always apply there.

Why not just switch back to 4hi? Sounds like laziness to me.
Good luck to yall. I wouldnt do it. But I'd love to be your tansmission tech. Easy $$$. Its kinda hard to saywhat the actual failure point was. When the entire xfer case, trans, and diveshafts were comfetti. Most of which was still out on the trail.

Fear mongering. Show me all the blown up transmissions and t-cases from 2017+ SD's from this. I'll wait.
Input speed to the T-case is the same whether running 90+mph down the highway in 2WD, or running 40mph in low range. The T-case is designed to handle the output of the HO diesel.
Traction is the limiting factor.
@thado this particular forum has a lot of people who are afraid you will put your eye out. Since these trucks are still new and expensive there isn’t much experimentation. You may have better luck calling tuners directly.
