Speedometer driven gear

Hello

I have done the math, and if I’m right, I need to replace my speedometer driven gear with a 16 or 17 tooth gear to correct my speedometer.

I have been looking for a replacement and I’ve found some but I’m not sure if there is a difference between 4x4 and 2x4.

Has anyone recently done this and if so, where did you get yours and was there a difference in applications ?

I was thinking about getting a couple different ones to test to find the right speed in case my math is off.

On the 4x4 it comes off the transfer case, correct? I am not sure if the gears are the same from Transmission to Transfer Case.

Correct. The 4x4 has everything in the transfer case vs the 2x4 that has it in the transmission.

Thank you for the list.

So looks like they are different as I pulled mine out of the transfer case and this is what they look like.

so I’ll be looking for a 16 or 17 tooth gear.

does the 6 in front of the 19 mean the driven gear is a 6 tooth gear?

Looking further into this, the lowest tooth gear that was made was 18 and I can’t find one. I found some on eBay that are made in India for *****’s jeeps but unsure as to how well it will work. The 18 tooth gear would get me closer to where it needs to be.

im going to post the part number in the for sale/wanted part to see if anyone has one.
