Where does this go ????

Any ideas where this goes? This will drive me nuts all winter, one part I did not bag/label when removing - some sort of heat shield part off of a 86 F250 460- probably not super critical but I would like to find out where it lived.

Short summary is truck failed inspection late 2018 because cab corners and rockers rusted out to where seat belts were not anchored. Sat a while then I started with some repair parts for floor/cab corner/rockers and project soon migrated to pulling the bed, scaling and epoxy painted frame, new bed sides, fenders, pristine donor doors from a u pull, pulled engine to change oil pan rear seal and clutch, new brake lines, etc.etc. I have all the body work done and sealed with epoxy primer and was organizing to get set up to paint everything in the spring and forgot about this piece. I believe I removed it when pulling the engine, thought it might be from around the starter but I can't find any likely places where it seems to fit.

Look around the front of the engine and see if it is a belt guard of some sort. That is a guess.

Heat shield for a motor mount? My 351W has something similar on the driver's side because the exhaust pipe is fairly close. Nothing on the passenger's side as that exhaust pipe is further away.

Does this look similar? Appears to be a repro for a Ford big block:
