Hello Everyone,
I thinking of putting some 35's on my 97 F150 after I lift it. It has a 8.8 diff. in the front and rear. Just wondering if 35's would be to much for that diff.? A friend of mine didn't think it would be but I just wanted a little more input.
THANK YOU
While not a big fan of the 8.8, I think you'll be okay. As with anything though, breakage will occur if you get silly with the skinny pedal in rough terrain. Generally speaking, I think those little 'ol 35s will be fine
Thank you,
I do plan on doing some mudding come spring time with it thats why I'm doing it. I don't plan on doing any extreme mudding though. Just your average go have a good time kind of thing but not every weekend.
the 8.8 and ttb will stand up to the 35s with no probs. even if you hammer it hard like i do...once over 35's is where you run into axle/ujoint probs on ttb but the 8.8 could still have a prob then but not as likely...don't get my wrong if i went over 35's it would be dana 44 up front and 10.25" in the rear

Pro, you crack me up... you are the only man i've ever heard call 35's small
Yea, its funny how all things become relative. With the new 49" Iroks & 52" Michelins I'm starting to think my 44's are small and planning for new meats

Dana 44 up front? hahahaha, why? why not the D60?
and 35's will be fine for your setup but keep a close eye on the spider gears in the rear...I had 2 sets go out on mine until I just welded it all up
