2006 Expedition…………..
Going to look at a 2006 Expedition Eddie Baurer edition, not sure on engine or transmission option in it, yet. Is the 5.4 as problematic as I read? 89,000 mi(supposedly) on the odometer.
On the data plate, what letter/number indicates engine, and transmission. TIA.

I'm pretty sure the 2006 only came with the 5.4 3-valve engine and 4R75 transmission. The primary problems with the 5.4 3-valve (that I've read about) are the 2-piece spark plugs seizing and breaking off during removal, and the can phasers stop working. Both issues are repairable and not catastrophic.
