I own a 1956 Ford F100, gas tank behind seat. My truck has quite a bit of gas odor. Has anyone installed the Vapor Trapper to the tank? If so, would you be willing to share how you did it along with pictures? Thanks in advance

Reason: Additional info
A vapor trapper as I know them doesn't make sense as the fuel tank is not vented (except through the fuel cap).
I don't have any issues with the stock setup in my fleet with gas fumes. Just make sure your gaskets and sealants are decent. Try some Gasoila Soft-Set if you need a recommendation. Ensure your filler neck connecting hose and grommet are newer; don't be scared to use some Gasoila Soft-Set on them either. Lastly, ensure you are using a functional vented gas cap.
Thanks for the info. I will get a vented gas cap. I also am thinking the filler hose and sending unit need to be changed out. I’m glad I waited to purchase the vapor trapper. I had no idea the gas tank wasn't vented.
Learing as I go with so many questions. I wish I had taken more interest when dad was alive so he could teach me all about this truck. At least I found this forum.
Ditto to what bmoran4 said. It's just time for some new parts. I'll bet that between the old cracked filler hose and the deteriorated cork gasket around the fuel sender that you are getting quite a few vapors.
All in all, it's a fairly easy and inexpensive fix.
My boyfriend installed this for me and it worked extremely well! He added a barb to the filler neck and routed the vent line up on top of the tank and then mounted the vapor trapper there on top of the tank above the filler and routed the exit line to outside the cab. Hope this helps
