Hello All, first post on this site. I have what’s probably a stupid question. I just replaced the headlight assemblies on my ‘06 F250 with a factory replacements. They came with replacement incandescent bulbs (headlights, parking, and blinkers). The passenger side works just fine, but the driver’s side is now hyper flashing. Both front and rear bulbs are blinking, just super fast. Any ideas why one side is fine and the other is acting the way it is. I am mechanically inclined, but electrical is not my strong suit! Thanks for any insight…
Have you got the wrong bulb in - more current draw equals faster blinking.
I think that may be the opposite. Less amp draw creates the burned out bulb hyper flash. If you install LEDs without a load resistor in older vehicles not made for them this will happen.
Look up and install the stock bulbs for your truck and this issue should resolve.
They are stock replacement bulbs that came with the new assemblies. All the bulbs blink, I just don’t know why one side blinks normally and the other hyper flashes.
Swap bulbs left to right and see if the problem follows them. Did you rewire or change anything in the wiring, tug on the wires or remove and install the bulbs?
Good idea of swapping the bulbs. I’ll try that this afternoon. I didn’t change anything but the headlight assemblies that were pre loaded with new bulbs.
