Please forgive me, I have a lot to learn. My husband passed away last week and I have his 7.3. The power steering fluid is bone dry and I was looking into replacing it. We do not have the owners manual but I was doing some research for myself and I don’t know if that did me any good or not. 2001 7.3 and some say MercV and others say no. Any help would be greatly appreciated because I am beating my head against the wall on which way to go. Also, wanting to confirm that I use ATF in the PSF reservoir? Just want to make sure that I am understanding that correctly. TIA
Good morning and welcome to FTE, sorry about your husband, condolences to you.
I have an 02 F350 7.3 and I use the MerconV which in my basic understanding is the old Dex/Merclll... from the MotorCraft web...
