2001 5.4 Intake
Trying to search here but couldn't find much other than don't use the Dorman. Found one at Varsity Ford parts for $272.16 part # 2L1Z-9424, my local dealer wants over $400. Is this the right part number and are there any other options?

Yes, that's the right one. If used is a possibility, you could scan https://www.car-part.com/ for a used manifold near you or have it shipped. The used OEM intake manifolds are a few hundred dollars less than new.

I really don't want to do this job again because of a failed used part. $430 and another $70 for intake gaskets from O'Reilly. Ford wanted $80 EACH for the gaskets. No thanks. I've replaced 2 coils in the last 2 months so I figure I might as well get on Rockauto and get 6 more since this is the perfect time to do them and they are half the price of O'Reilly for Mototcraft coils. I had inserts put in the heads 8 or 9 rears ago so I'm not touching the spark plugs. I still have trauma about that fiasco.
