Mojave Desert guy (Las Vegas, Nevada)
Hello -
I am a retired desert dog moving from a 2004 Toyota Tacoma (260k) to a 2013 F250 Chassis (40k). The Tacoma was a weekender, the F250 is for roaming around forever and finding hot springs and cold beer. I just put a S-788 military radio shelter onto the frame of the F250, making a DYI EarthRoamer-type camper for about $875,000 less than a new one. I'm a *****wad around metal fabrication, but my buddy has welded and milled me a nice rail to drop the box on. I wrench and paint and prep and stay away from big machines that eat me. Pictures to follow if anyone asks.
