Hi Cailan,

I received your PM but apparently I haven't been a member or sent enough posts to be allowed to respond(?). I don't want to share my VIN here but I'll try to respond as soon as my 10 day probationary period passes.

The difference is posting one's VIN on the internet can be read by millions, remembered forever, and searched by anyone around the world.

Millions of people cannot walk by my truck, cannot see it from a data collection farm in Bangladesh, and probably cannot remember it once I walk up to them and ask why they are nosing around so close to my windshield.

so.. what could they do with your vin #. guess I don't get it. it's not a ssn or bank account #. It just tells you how your truck was built, It don't tie any of the owners info to it.

My truck is a 2025, 7.3, 3.73 e-Locker. I can't find that! Where did you start your exploration from?

uno, i would never have thought that someone could steal your home and something as ridiculous as home title lock insurance was even a thing. its harder to transfer a title for a car than a house evidentially. but who knows if someday they will figure out how to transfer a title just as easily by simply having the VIN,,,,i am for extremely harsh penalties for crimes of this nature,,,

it's like when people post a pic of their truck and black out the plate. it's public information.

On 12” display I believe it is under “driver assistance” options.

F250 Platzilla,
My apologies for missing your enquiry and not responding sooner. I had a personal issue arise and was away from this forum and others for a bit. Did you find the answer using the advice posted by dutch 71? If not, I can go try to document my steps to finding it.

Cheers,
Phil

Phil if I remember correctly was via “features” > “driver assistance” > “reverse brake assist”. In the 2024 I believe that’s where it was, don’t know if position changed with updates.

Hi George,

I just went and confirmed. That's where it is on my 2025 as well.

Thanks!
Phil
