anti-sway bars
I have a 97 ranger 4x2 with 5 speeds and 4 liters. I want to make it handle better and already added the Bilstine shocks, now I'm looking to get sway bars.
Does getting only a rear bar maks sense, it seems that the rear end tries to roll more to begin with.
I want to retain safe handeling and not induce any over or understeer with suspension mods. Anybody have expierience with anti sway bars?
Thanks,
Jim
with that said, i think yours already has a front sway bar (also know as anit-roll bar), and putting one on the back would definately help. i think the 4x4 rangers all have rear anti-roll bars stock, so you might check the local yards for a swap. also, you could fit larger diameter rims with lower profile tires and that would help the handling and grip a lot, but it would make it lean more because of the added grip.
