Heater Control Panel Restoration
Does anyone have any suggestions for restoring the heater (A/C) control panel? The edges around the inner face panel are bleeding light. I thought of just repainting the whole thing, but the way Ford labeled them, there is really no way to protect the lettering.

I just grabbed the best one out of my many junkers, dissasembled and polished with a regular plastic polish on a buffing wheel just for plastic products.

As for the bleeding light, maybe touch up with a flat black on the back side of panel?

I did the same as bigbully. Went to a wrecking yard and pulled the face off of a newer Ford van. The only think I had to do was cut a notch for the fuel selector, on the right hand side. It looks much better than the old one, with the red and blue deals for the temperature. That is, of course, unless you are trying to restore your truck to look like original.
