Kinda a chilly feeling in the forum....
I can see the admin. points, and frankly, I do not disagree w/ them, although, it is (was) nice to make a quick statement (less then 6 or 7 words) of who you are.
I.E. "Support your local Firemen and Policemen!"
I use this example because this is what was removed from my sig, but this is who I am, and cant a sig. a be SHORT statement of who you are??? Thanks guys, just venting, I've no hard feelings at all, just a few questions I had. Thanks...
This isn't the only things being trimmed.
Other things like a user post 3 things in a row rather than clicking EDIT and just adding a little more text instead of clicking post reply to add a sentence.
The computer has to re-load all the user's information again. 'Waste of bandwidth'
Can you not mention it in discussion, or place it somewhere else in your profile.
The bill for FTE's bandwidth is the length of a novel.
Reducing say 15KB of text
spread over how many users & posts >
& un-necessary re-posting because they didn't use the edit instead
Also, Ken or whoever. I've notice that some sites only load a poster's signature the first time they post in a thread. Perhaps thats something you can consider to help open up the bandwidth etc. I don't know if that is feasible with your software.
Ya, I tried to put an avatar on with my name, but could'nt get them to work, so have they been done away with? Trust me, I do see what you are saying about the bill, and thank you for the site, it's great.
User's who repeatedly repost the removed content lose the
feature completely. 3 strikes.
User's can Llst Mod's in their gallery
List personal thoughts in your profile, But Not in one's signature.
The word signature relates to One's name.
Very few users put their name's in their sig,but would rather put a list of 10-20 things like Modifications & Smilies instead of adhering to the rules on FTE!
That's nice, but I never got three strikes. My sig was "modified" once, then after that it was deleted and I wasn't allowed to change it. I dont think that adds up to three.....?

Your profile has all the space you need to making a statement about who you are. If someone wants to know, they can click your profile link and see it on demand rather than every time.
As noted in another post, due to the enormous bandwidth increase in the last month we're temporarily turning off avatars for all user's except for: moderators, admins and Club FTE members.
i was just curious ken how long will avatars for all users be trned off, i agree on the bandwidth use with avatars, oh i was going to ask whats it cost to become a member of FTE, i figured im on here everyday helping people out i just aswell help supposrt FTE to keep this site going, also if you need help in moderating im on FTE 3 to 5 hours a day i just aswell help as much as i can, drop me an email if your interested, thanks for this site ken.
do you have a pic if the t-shirt? also do you have any golf shirts with the FTE logo on them? collar, short sleeved, something alittle more dressed up, i know it will cost more but i am interested in something like that.
