I have found a few vins that were close but maybe someone can help me with the details for this LN750. It is quite worn so I hope have these number correct Also the V8 gas engine with air cleaner showing 5.8 4v HO threw me off. I, now, think it was swapped in.

Reason: OP correction, see post 12
Prior to 1978 the 361FT was the standard engine in the 700 series of Ford trucks, later models would have the 370 engine
Neither of these would have been labeled as a 5.8 so you probably have a air cleaner from an mid 80’s pickup
FT engines for sure but the distributor leads me to question if it is a 361HD or the smaller 330 MD
A photo of the engine with that pickup truck air cleaner removed would help
Looks like there’s a bit of wiring to neaten up
Looks like the heater core has been bypassed
I’m not familiar with that style of air cooled air compressor but being a air brake truck is a big plus
Is this a former fire truck, that thermostat housing looks like there’s truck may have had a secondary cooling provision that was common on older fire trucks
E = 361 2V XD FT gas V8 (Does it have a 2bbl or 4bbl?)
V = Kentucky Truck Plant
V72532 = 1975 numerical series, October 1974 production
148 = 148 inch wheelbase
J = Rangoon Red
N752 = LN700 gas, 23,000 lbs GVWR (the MPC shows the series as LN750 but the MPC does not list an LN750 model code. It lists F, C and B 750s, but skips the LN. Typo? Something else internal? We'll never know)
H88
H8 Sorry I do not have the decoder ring for upholstrey for '75
8 = With the "H", = Custom Cab without butterfly hood
M = Clark model 285V five speed direct transmission
E3N
E3 = Eaton model 16244 two speed rear axle, 17,500 lbs capacity, 6.50 / 9.04 ratios (Edited and corrected, see post 12)
N = Ford 9,000 lb capacity front axle with power steering
41 = Chicago District Sales Office
No special order number so this was probably bought out of dealer inventory or "off the lot".
IMO this is a little different for this GVWR. This apparently has air brakes which might explain the beefy front axle. But 23,000 lbs GVWR, 361 gas, air brakes..... Seems like an odd combination for a dealer to order to have on the lot.

Reason: Corrected axle code, see post 12
Great info. I really appreciate it. I will get the air cleaner off soon for more pics. Truck is not running but I am optimistic, so be ready for more questions.
