2004 SD Vs. 2005 SD
Last Christmas I ordered a F-250 4x4 with the 5.4/6spd/4.10 drivetrain. I haven't been real happy with the 5.4 and wish now that I had got the V-10/6spd/4.30. I'm trying to decide whether or not to order the V-10/6spd/4.30 in a 2004 model or wait for the 2005's to come out. I really like the front axle with leaf springs, the exterior looks and am very happy with the interior layout and the solid bench seat of the current design. What is to be gained (or lost) in the 2005 4x4 model with the coil springs front axle. Durability? Tighter turning radius? Lower entry height?Off-Road ability? V-10 gets the 5.4 improvements? Hopefully Ford will not make the SD more car-like and less of a work truck. Will Ford keep the solid bench seat or go to the split bench seat that the new F-150 uses?
