At the dealer the other day and a 2026 Lariat was on the lot. Had the keyless entry pad as an OPTION at $455!!! Come on Ford, you can do better. This doesn't need to cost nearly that, even if you make a profit. Stabbing you loyal customers in the back is not going to pay off for you. It's one of those handy options we have enjoyed for many years.
It seems the SD buyers have a love hate relationship with those keyless entry buttons. Some see it as vestiges of flaky outdated 1982 technology from a Thunderbird or Continental, others see it as a lifeline essential feature. In that regard, not entirely unlike the fuel type or Axle Ratio debates?
i had my '25 for 2 weeks and just had it installed, the Ford Pass is as unreliable as it gets and i refuse to carry a key. why they got rid of it in the 1st place i will never understand
That’s a bit steep for sure but just be happy the FordPass app is free. Wife just got a new Chrysler and the app was free for a month, then it’s 15$/month. Essentially all it gives you is the lock/unlock and remote start from your phone. Crazy world we are living in.

IMO that is likely where we will be before too long. My buddy has a Toyota and he has to pay for remote start. Imagine having subscription bases heated seats!
