Injector Pulse Width Issue

2002 F350 7.3L 4x4 Crewcab Approx. 200k miles. All stock.
First post, hope it's in the correct place.
I am having an issue with a cyclical high pulse width reading. I never had this issue with my 2002 7.3 Excursion I just bought this truck a few weeks back. Starting to go thru everything, fix what needs to be so I don't end up on the side of the road. Everything I have found so far about pulse width high reading doesn't quite match up to what I am seeing.
Any direction as to where to start looking for the issue would be greatly appreciated.
I have attach a PDF that has some data I logged. If I need something different logged to narrow it down let me know.

Thanks
Matt

That's curious how pulse width alternates between a lower and a higher value. Assuming the units are in microseconds, it looks like every other data point is valid. Might just need to pick a different pulse width PID.

Are you having drivability issues, or are you just trying to gather a data baseline for the rig?

What is the model of OBDII dongle you are using?
Are you using FORScan or another program?

Can you attach this data in CSV format? Easier to process in this format than in PDF.

Correct units are microseconds. Dongle is one I had laying around that I use to pull codes when needed. I use Torgue app. I used the Torque app and a different dongle years ago to monitor everything in a 2002 Excursion 7.3L I had.
Runs great no complaints. Was using to check everything out on a 4.5 run north towing 5k trailer. Picked the same PID I used to monitor on the Ex.
I will look and see if there is a different PID for IPW.
The cyclic high reading is what I am trying to figure out. I will buy another dongle, see if the same one I had in my Ex is still available.

I wonder if that's just a artifact in the polling rate and not an actual reading.

if the engine is running "great" , quit trying to fix it until it is broke.

I don't do anything, until a REAL PROBLEM occurs.

Ya been there done that. Years ago on a 2002 EX 7.3L. Stranded in the middle of nowhere with the fam on a trip, in Upper Michigan. Spent a day and a half, in 100deg. 90% humidity, diagnosing, finding parts and fixing in a gravel lot on the side of the road. That was after a shop had it for a week and "fixed" it.
NO THANKS! I do preventative maintenance and fix it BEFORE catastrophic failure now. Getting to old for that "stuff".

I am thinking this also. The high duty cycle numbers occur at a suspiciously regular frequency.

I fully understand "preventative maintenance" and I do that also, but when it comes to removing a high pressure line, that is not leaking?

nope, I leave it alone.

Fluids? you bet, change them out on schedule or before.
like last spring, headed Georgia to see my son, gonna add 4,000 miles to the existing oil... uh, it is about half way to change time.

did it anyway.

Sorry John but I disagree,

I considered changing out my 21 year old HPOP lines as a preventative maintenance 3 years ago.

Read too many horror stories and saw pictures of the rust prevention oiling under hood and chassis to wait for it to happen before fixing. 3200psi will pump out 16litres in a hurry. Then your dead on the side of the road.

Do I carry spare lines, Yup. Do I carry 16litres of oil, Nope.

What? And miss the free underhood rustproofing service that a blown HP oil line provides? Heresy.

Mostly likely this, but still worth some effort to figure out, IMHO. We have these tools to help us figure out real problems. Better to figure out a tool problem when we don't have a real problem, than to not be able to depend on the tool when the problem is real. With that in mind, I'd suggest the OP try Forscan, in place of TP. If the issue is still there, swap out the OBDII adapter.

One technical suggestion, too, though one that's probably not worth a lot of effort: Log MFDES, too. If it is steady where IPW is blipping, you know the blips are not being driven by some weird crazy high fuel request.

i get a injpw alternating number as well. For example 2600/105200 . I kinda figured it was bluetooth thing. I was gonna ask here , just now but you beat me to it .

out on a road trip now 10 hours from home. Screwing around with this new to me torque pro app and the obdlinkmx+ I just bought

no issues. Just wanted to set up baselines and flashy things if something isn't right

So both of you were using the torque app and both of you got strange readings.

Would seem that the problem may have been found..?

Took about 6 tries but was able to capture it. It flashes by pretty fast.

I'd download forscan and see if logging shows the same thing, but kinda sounds like it's some code anomaly in Torque.
