2000 Ford F250 issues
I have a 2000 Ford F250 with a 7.3L V8 and a 4R100 Auto Transmission. I couple weeks ago I lost my acclerator pedal and turns out my Pedal Sensor went bad. So I replaced it with a Dorman one and it failed after about 140 miles of driving which for me was only 3 ½ days as I drive 42 miles round trip a day for work. So I got another one and now a new issues has come about. At about 30 mph when my transmission goes to shift it will attempt to upsift then it will downshift almost instantly and it does that about two or three times and then it will shift. However if I am high in the rpms like around 2,000 RPM it will shift just fine. I checked my trans fluid and its the typical Mercon Red color and the level is fine. I service my transmission every two oil changes and it was rebuilt 30,000 miles ago. I dont believe it is the transmission. I am leaning towards the Dorman Accerelator Pedal sensors causing this. Anyone ever had an issue sort of like this ? That Google AI says the sensor could cause it but I trust A.I. very little. Thanks to all who reply. Also no codes are stored when I hooked up my Snap On Solus scanner.
