Where do you get your batteries?
So, I need new batteries for my Bullnose truck and I already converted over to Group 31 batteries.
I haven't found many batteries with a warranty over a year. The Super Start batteries at O'Reilly's are warrantied for 18 months. The Duracells at Sam's Club and Walmart are warrantied for a year, and the Interstate batteries at Speedco are 1 year.
I did see some 4 year Odyssey batteries I can order from Walmart but they're $350+ and poorly reviewed. Should I just break down and buy the 18 month batteries from the auto parts store? Or should I go back to Group 34/78 batteries?

I'm getting over 5 years on autozones #65-DLG In fact, once they stop being good for cold weather, I put them in the F450 and milk them for another couple years! I'm only on my second new set in log truck by doing this, since 2013! Just had to buy her, her second new pair last year in '24 because I had just replaced them in the F250 and didn't happen to have an old set for her this time so she got spoiled too.
Anyway, great, long lasting batteries.

I've had good luck with Interstate batteries. I am on my second pair. The first pair lasted 20 years and really they died because of an alternator issue on a road trip. Probably would have lasted many more years. The second set I'm on now came from Costco and they are going on their 7th year. Recently checked static charge after my winter time oil cooler repair where temperatures were well below freezing for several weeks and I had 12.6 V
These are the original group, 35 I think, for my 86 6.9l. Plug and play with no modifications to the hold down kits.
Some have reported poor performance from Interstate batteries but my experience has been beyond expectations. You do have to keep the electrolyte levels up. I check mine annually at least. Usually just a few drops of DI in a couple cells is all.
