Came hear because AI told me this was a busy Ford Forum. I'd love a good f150....but i am mainly here because of my grandaughters 2013 Ford Focus.
I understand it's a Truck Forum but sometimes problems can overlap, so here I am.
In the 1980's ( may have been 78-79) my neighboor reworked a 64 Mustang. He was great body and paint guy. I replaced valve cover gaskets and waterpump for him as his son was my best friend. Why put an ECM in the wheel well?
Now with that all out of the way I'm gonna talk about some issues with a Ford Focus SE flex fuel w/ 2L engine - automatic. Electrical issues. ( PS - i did work in the radio shop for CSX RR so I can use most test equipment and read a schematic diagram.) -
So her mom, my EX purchased the 2013 Focus SE off of markertplace. The drivers side front fenders inner-liner was missing. She said it ran and drove great. No problems. Gas guage wasn't fully functional as it would only go down to close to 1/3 left befor it ran out of gas. She made it clear to mine and her granddaughter to fill it up around 1/2 tank and keep it full. OK so far. My granddaughter graduates HS this year and has 2 part time jobs.
So I find out her AC isn't working. Get the new blower and resistor array reinstalled but it still doesn't work. I still havent looked at any wiring diagrams at that point but decide to pull the blower control module with the **** on it.
Hook the battery back up and have a no crank no start issue.New square box comes up - Gear with exclamation, red dot below that, with the words - Engine Fault Service now.
Try to read codes and it seems now my can buss is not communicating.
Does anyone know for sure if the N is supposed to be larger than the PRNDL at all times or just when it's supposed to be in neutral? All the above for just this 1 question.
It appears that the owner's manual doesn't cover this. I looked around online and it looks like it is supposed to be big like that when the shift lever is in the Neutral position. I posted this over in the other thread for this issue as well.
