Hi, trying to install a Bulldog remote starter on my 03 Explorer (OK, it's really a Mountaineer, but same inside), and I can't find where the main wire harness plugs in near the steering column where the starter T harness for the remote starter connects. Any one have any ideas?
According to Bulldog, It's suppose to use the same T harness as the Aerostar and be right near the steering column. It is a large rectangular plug about 1.5" x 3", so it should be easy to see. I took this starter out of my trusty Aerostar, where it was right below the steering column. This is the 3rd one of these I have installed, so I know what I'm looking for, just can't find it! Help! Randy
FYI - I did find the connector I was looking for, it was on the left side of the steering column, but was not the large connector it was suppose to be. The problem was, that Bulldog's website must be wrong, as it lists the connector and sells the mounting harness as the same one as an Aerostar, it's not. It's about 1/2 the size and has half as many wires in it. I found it by stripping some black tape insulation off and searching for the correct color wiring, which I found. Just in case someone else fumbles upon this. Randy
