I have a 2022 F350 and want to replace my factory Michelin's 275/65/20 tires. Although they ride and wear great, they just are not aggressive enough for the Michigan winters. We tow a 5th wheel so I don't want too aggressive of a tire that's going to be excessively load. Looking for some recommendations.
I ran something thru the sidewall on one of the stock Michelins on my 2022 F250, replaced them with the Michelin Defender LTX Platinum Tires, and really like them.
I have run General Grabber AT2's (now AT3s or ATx's) on a LOT of vehicles over the years and they do great in pretty much all environments, including winters. This includes towing fifth wheels on an F350. They do wear a little faster, but all-around traction isn't an issue until the tread is about gone.
Today I'm going back to the Toyo AT3's on my F350 DRW, I have them on my 98 Expy 4x, my '00 Excursion and will have them back on my dually by end of day, my son-in-law just put a set on his Toyota p/u early this year and loves them, says they are the best tire he's had, especially for the mtns here with snow/ice and what not... my first set I got almost 45k out of, and this in on an F350 7.3/DRW/4x/CC driving in the mtns where you don't get a straight road, your always turning. So yeah, I will stick with them, having run numerous different tires on my "fleet" these IMHO are the best ones I've had for all around driving.
I’ve personally had great luck out of the General ATx as well. If you don’t need more off road capabilities and don’t want to sacrifice ride comfort/noise levels but want the off road look Conti Terrain contact AT, Nitto Terra Grappler G3 and Pirelli AT plus all deserve a look.
The Falken are probably the best made in China tire but why pay MORE to buy Chinese? They used to be a mix of Indonesia and USA but I know the USA plant was shut down and the last several sets we’ve installed were stamped China on the sidewall.
Since my truck has the tremor package,it has the duratracks. I really like them in the snow and on the forest roads. I see a them on a lot of loggers trucks and seem popular with the bear hunters too. This is on the Wisconsin / Michigan border.

Yeah, they came on my 'Wagon and did well enough that I bought a 2nd set when it was time. Have them on the new truck (also a Tremor) and depending on how this aluminum truck does in the snow with them, I may do the same.
My duratracs were quiet and smooth for the first few thousand miles but got pretty loud. I definitely had to take them off a truck I used to often drive from houston to austin.
Look up 275/65/20 on Discount and filter to 3 mountain peak. That doesn’t mean everything but a good place to start.
Bridgestone Ascent
Cooper AT3
Hankook AT2
Nokian Outpost
Nexan HTX (kinda weird to have this rating?)
Toyo WLT1
Yokohama G015 (I have good luck with these but no snow around here). Pretty tame.
Kumho AT
Michelin Agelis Crossclimate
Those all look pretty quiet. Took a few minutes to search. I would go from there. Google and chatgpt etc and ask here. Road noise, treadlife, and snow traction reviews.
The Falken Wildpeak A/T4's are also 3 PMSF rated. When I switched rom the crappy GY Wrangler's that came stock on my truck I knew I wanted a 3PMSF rated tire.
Also, I just posted a 30k mile update on my WP A/T4's over in the 6.7 section. Here's a link to it.
In short though, they have been amazing tires. Great traction in all conditions I have been in, which is mostly wet roads, but they have seen other conditions too. 10 ply, load range E, 3 ply sidewalls, and rated for HD trucks. They run quiet and in 30k miles with routine rotations, have gone from 18/32 to 13/32 (fronts) and 14/32 (rears) so they are wearing great. I fully expect to easily get 60k out of these tires, and that is under the weight of a 6.7.
