KBB Valuations
Any idea how much are Kelly Blue Book valuations off on our trucks? From what I see for sale vs KBB I'm seeing much higher sales and listing prices, often close to double or more than double KBB. Most of those seem to be Southern trucks in good condition.

Go to a dealer and look at the price of a new truck. The older trucks in good shape just keep rising in value. People are willing to pay a premium price and not have as much high tech, a high payment in a high repair cost. Keep in mind there's a huge gap in years of trucks anyone wants to own, think 6.0L, 6.4L that would be affordable if they weren't unreliable money pits.

Recently watching a Facebook 7.3 group and the sales prices are still strong. Prime examples in the $15k-$20k range and nothing running less than $5k.
As said above price of new trucks is ginormous. That's how it shakes out if you can buy a used truck that can carry 80% of the new truck load for 15% the cost.
Still some grandpas out there finally giving up their retirement gifts to themselves.

a 2010 SVT Raptor that was a self bought, Retirement Gift.
it still has less than 53k miles on it, looks and smells like new.
In our case, the truck outlived him... we came by it from my sister when we moved her to our home.
