I have a 1986 f350 dually 5” lift. I want 37s but I could do 35s if i had to. I have 16 inch rims but no tire I can find for 37” fit on 16s. What’s the best rim diameter and width. Can i find rims with the same bolt pattern and just get the ones you can’t see or is there a certain width i can’t go over. Also i’d love for whatever tires i get to be cheap as well since i got to buy 6. I would also like to tow with it so i’m already prepared to have to space out the rear tires so they don’t touch under load.
I would not put oversize tires on a dually. If you do, I would not go but possibly one size up. Unless you run spacers, the oversize dually tires can touch each other, especially when loaded. This can heat the sidewall up and cause a blow out. The spacers are not cheap.
If you are going to tow with it and haul a load, you need to buy at least load range D tires. Load range E would be even better. Load range D are 8 ply, load range E are 10 ply tires and can handle the loads from a large loaded truck.
